Development of lipocentric hierarchical databases

LSI promotes development of lipo-centric hierarchical databases like SwissLipids and Lipidhome.

Development of lipidomics checklist

Based on the guidelines proposed by LSI a checklist will be developed as publishing guideline for journals, monitored by editors and reviewers.

Introduction of data formats 

Discussion of mzTab for Lipidomics (at PSI Spring Meeting), as a trans-community, tabular spreadsheet-based data format for reporting of MS-based quantitative and qualitative results for small molecules  with additional requirements for lipidomics-specific reporting (qualifier and quantifier ions, nomenclature, structural resolution levels for id). General mzTab development is currently coordinated via the PSI GitHub and the discussion group at Google.
